BY-LAWS

ARTICLE I-NAME

The name of this association shall be: KSSA/Providing Solutions for the Mid-Range Environments.

 
ARTICLE II-PURPOSE/FOCUS

The purpose and focus of this association shall be to provide a forum for sharing ideas, problems and solutions related to IBM architecture and other vendor solutions and applications.

 
ARTICLE III-MEMBERSHIP

Membership shall be open to any individual or organization currently operating in an IBM Mid-Range environment or person(s) with an interest in Mid-Range computing, including but not limited to Managers, Users, Operators, Vendors, Etc..

 
ARTICLE IV-DUES

Dues shall be established by each elected Board of Directors, based on cash needs.

 
ARTICLE V-OFFICERS

Officers shall be five in number:

(1) A Chairman shall preside over the meetings of the Group, and appoint any committee necessary to the function of his/her office.

(2) A Vice-Chairman for Programs shall preside in the absence of the Chairman, and will be responsible for scheduling programs.

(3) A Vice-Chairman for Membership shall be responsible for promoting membership growth and notifying the members of the upcoming meetings.

(4) A Secretary shall be responsible for recording and disseminating all information necessary to the function of the group.

(5) A Treasurer shall be responsible for keeping the financial records, receiving and disbursing funds necessary for the group's function.

ARTICLE VI-MEETINGS

Meetings shall be held monthly on a date, time and place selected by the elected Board of Directors. Programs shall be of an informative nature and of general or specific interest to the membership.

There will be NO SOLICITATION at the meetings.  This includes public announcements concerning job opportunities.  Also, the membership directory is not to be used for promotional mailings. 

 
ARTICLE VII-BYLAW CHANGES

Any proposed changes must be presented at two quarterly meetings and then voted on at the next following meeting. There will only be one vote per company membership.
